BVKID is hosting an educational event for the community this November. The goal of this event is to create awareness about dyslexia. We will offer a guest speaker, dyslexia simulations, and a whole bunch of experts in the field of learning disabilities.

We are proud to present an outstanding motivational guest speaker, Jonathon Mooney. Although he didn’t learn to read until he was twelve years old, Jonathon has overcome his difficulties and is now a well-known writer, an activist, and an entrepreneur. Come and here his story and be inspired!

We will offer a dyslexia simulation that will show you what it is like to be dyslexic. You will be moved by the experience. Sometimes you just can’t relate with the struggles of others until you are put in their seat…literally.

There will be professionals in the industry who will answer your questions. You will have access to free information from educational therapists, speech and language therapists, neuropsychologists, and more. Bring your questions with you and leave knowing that you are not alone and there are people who can help you.
